Temecula Wants To Share Uplifting Photos, Posts Amid Coronavirus

Citizens are bringing hope and smiles amidst this worldwide crisis through social media, officials said.

TEMECULA, CA — The city of Temecula wants to highlight how people are having fun at home throughout the coronavirus pandemic by sharing social media photos and acts of kindness posts from its residents.

“As Mayor, I’m incredibly inspired to see how quickly our community has transitioned to using technology — and, in some cases, not using technology to actually enjoy our beautiful surroundings. People are creating fun memories with their families, taking walks, and making the best of this challenging time," Temecula Mayor James "Stew" Stewart said.

City officials are seeing social media posts of people within the community and throughout neighborhoods at home — postings about time with family, baking, cleaning out garages, gardening, or delivering food for donations. Citizens are bringing hope and smiles amidst this worldwide crisis through social media, officials said.
