Temecula's Dec. 3 Holiday Parade: Where To Park, Street Closures

The annual Santa's Electric Light Parade is expected to attract thousands from across the region.

TEMECULA, CA — A Temecula holiday tradition is set to return Friday night. The annual Santa's Electric Light Parade will begin rolling at 7 p.m. sharp at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road, and the community is invited to turn out.

Here's what to know about the free annual event that is expected to attract thousands from across the region:

Parade Route

The parade will travel north on Jefferson and will end at Overland Drive. Chairs and blankets will be allowed along the route. Click here for a map of restrooms that will be available for parade watchers and participants alike.

Parking

Free city parking will be available at the 6th Street parking lot (41952 6th Street); the Old Town parking garage (28690 Mercedes Street); and the new dirt lot next to the Roadway Inn (28718 Old Town Front Street).

Road Closures

There will be several road closures in place Friday — not only on the parade route but on several side streets that will be used as staging and access areas. Many streets will close to motor traffic in the afternoon, hours before the parade. See the street closure map here and watch this city video for more information about the shutdowns:

DEC. 18: 'Chilled In The Park' Fest & Holiday Fireworks. Also featuring entertainment, ugly sweater contest & kids' zone.
DEC. 31: BAD CHEMISTRY @ OTBC New Years Eve 2021. At Old Town Blues Club.
DEC. 31-JAN. 1: New Year's Eve Grape Drop. With music, food trucks & kids' zone.
