Temecula's Old Town Arches Get Patriotic Stars For Summer, July 4 Weekend
The Old Town Temecula Association is providing the decorations, and the City of Temecula Public Works Department created the arch display.

TEMECULA, CA — Old Town Temecula is showing its patriotic colors this summer with a new display of decorative stars hung across the district's arches ahead of Independence Day weekend.
The Old Town Temecula Association purchased the stars, according to a city news release, and the display was installed with help from the City of Temecula Public Works team.
It's all about celebrating America's 250th anniversary and the Fourth of July season in the city's historic district.

"The stars are meant to enhance Old Town Temecula and create a festive setting for residents and visitors during a busy holiday stretch," according to the announcement.
The display went up as Old Town prepares for a weekend of Independence Day festivities, special promotions, community celebrations and the Fourth of July Parade. The patriotic stars will welcome visitors during that lineup of events and remain in place throughout the summer.

The city said it appreciates the Old Town Temecula Association's investment in the historic district. The announcement describes the effort as a collaboration between the association and the city, with Public Works assisting on installation as Old Town gets ready for holiday crowds.
According to the announcement, the display and upcoming activities will highlight the patriotic spirit and hometown character that draw people to Old Town Temecula. Residents and visitors are being encouraged to walk through the district, view the stars, support local businesses and take part in what Old Town has to offer during the summer season.
