Temecula's Rod Run Weekend: Friday Night Cruise, Saturday Show & Shine

The first weekend in May, look for road closures, special event parking and thousands descending on Old Town Temecula to see the show.

TEMECULA, CA — It's Rod Run weekend in Temecula for 2026 and the cars are already rolling into Old Town.

The festivities kick off with the Friday Night Cruise from 5 to 8 p.m. up and down Old Town Front Street. The excitement continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the Saturday Show & Shine.

The Friday Cruise down Old Town Front Street is already sold out, but the event is free for bystanders and onlookers.

"Time to get under the hood, and tune up that engine! The City of Temecula proudly welcomes all car enthusiasts (novice and expert) to join us at the annual Temecula Rod Run in historic Old Town. This event draws tens of thousands of visitors and classic hot rods for miles! No fee to attend as a spectator.

Come and see over 500 pristine classics and under-construction projects, including Model A’s, T-Buckets, T-Birds, and Roadsters. Do not forget to visit our Vendors on Main Street to purchase your official Temecula Rod Run merchandise, enjoy hot eats and cool treats.

Road Closures, Parking & Maps

Road Closures Include:

  • Old Town Front Street from First Street to Moreno Rd closed from 4:00pm-8:30pm on Friday, May 1
  • Mercedes St will be accessible from the north end, with no outlet to the south, from 4:00pm-8:30pm on Friday, May 1
  • Old Town Front Street closed from 4:30am-5:00pm on Saturday, May 2
  • Main Street east of Old Town Front Street closed at 8:00am on Friday, May 1 and opens by 7:00pm on Saturday, May 2
  • All other finger roads closed at 4:00pm on Friday and open by 5:00pm on Saturday.


Free public parking is available in the following lots: Old Town Parking Garage on Mercedes Street, the lot at the corner of 1st Street & Old Town Front Street, and the lot at the corner of Santiago & Ynez Roads.
