New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who banned trans fats and wants to outlaw extra large sugar drinks, now has the nanny-city gestapo threatening the rights of vapers -- former cigarette smokers who get their nicotine in vapor form via e-cigs (electronic cigarettes), which are battery-operated, tobacco-free devices that eliminate the harmful effects of both inhaled and second-hand smoke .
I'm not a vaper myself (I quit smoking cold turkey about 27 years ago when the only substitutes for smokes were toothpicks and Chicklets) but my wife has been vaping for a couple of years and, while I wouldn't encourage anyone to spontaneously start smoking or vaping, I'd recommend vaping to anyone who finds the struggle with cigarette cessation too difficult to conquer . . .
