Traffic Alert: I-15 To Briefly Close For Power Pole Replacement

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula city officials on Monday warned the public of some anticipated delays on Interstate 15 in town. A portion of the freeway is slated to be closed for a brief time while Southern California Edison crews perform work nearby.

According to the city, the utility company will be replacing a deteriorated power pole near the I-15 around 10 a.m. Here's the full alert from city officials:

"The City has been advised that on Tuesday March 27th, Southern California Edison (SCE) will be replacing a deteriorated power pole near the south side of the I-15 freeway, a helicopter is involved in the work activities.

"At approximately 10am, the southbound I-15 will be closed for 10 to 15 minutes.

"The closure is south of the Temecula Parkway interchange, opposite the Temecula Creek Inn / Golf Course. Please be patient and plan accordingly."
