Truck Strikes Hydrant In Temecula, AMR Responds To The Scene
Redhawk Parkway was briefly closed to traffic while emergency responders shut off water and evaluated the driver.

TEMECULA, CA — A truck collided with a hydrant Monday morning in Temecula, leading to a temporary road closure on Redhawk Parkway, south of Via Rio Temecula during the cleanup.
Rancho Water was quickly on the scene at about 10:30 a.m. when a driver collided with a hydrant, shooting a column of water into the air and across the roadway.
"This was a solo collision involving the woman who drove the truck," Rancho Water spokesperson Kimy Wall told Patch. "A water quality tech was close-by and was able to shut off the water pretty quickly," she said. The fix to the hydrant on Redhawk Parkway north of Via Rio Temecula was underway.
