TEMECULA, CA — Temecula Valley High School Girls Varsity Soccer clinched it's 8th league title in 12 years, and continues the high school's winning streak. On Thursday, at 6 p.m., the Bears (10-2-9 overall, 7-0-3 in League) will take to their home field pitch vs. Paraclete Spirits of Lancaster.

As girls clinched their 8th title for the Southwestern League, about how far they've come in the 2025-26 season, and with sights trained on what's next.

"The top three teams in the league were extremely competitive and we knew we would need to fully lean into our streghts to find success against two very good opponents," Guinn said.

The girls did exactly that, and the rest of the pieces fell into place.

"This victory is special not just because it's a league title, but because of the work behind it. They trusted one another, stayed committed, and brought everything they had each time the stepped on the field," Guinn said. This year, they stood solid with the men's varsity team, who also took home the league championship.

The girls take to the pitch again Thursday, for the first round of the Playoffs, at home. Once again, her assistant coach Aubree Gessel, an alumna of TVHS and TVHS Varsity Soccer under Guinn, will be at her side.

"Our focus is continuing to build, grow, and get better. I truly don’t believe this team has peaked yet, and that’s what makes this moment so exciting," Guinn said. "We’re looking forward to hosting and would love to see our alumnae, alumnae parents, former coaches, and the entire Golden Bear family come out, pack the stands, and bring the energy. We’re grateful for the support and ready for the challenge ahead."

While the whole team has come together, there were some standouts in the recent weeks to bring the league victory into hand.

"I’m incredibly proud of this entire roster," said Guinn. They truly are exceptional student-athletes, and every player has contributed to our success in meaningful ways.

"Senior Celia Ramos and Junior Liberty Drago have anchored the back line with confidence and leadership, helping set the tone defensively all season.

"Senior Yesenia Lucero has been a steady and impactful presence at outside back. On the attacking side, senior Reese Sanabria along with sophomores Aimee Gessel and Eilee Maines have played important roles in creating opportunities and finishing chances.

"We’ve talked a lot about the importance of team goals, and it’s been really rewarding to see so many different players step up and score in big moments throughout the 2025–2026 season."

As for her coaching run at TVHS, Guinn says she feels "incredibly blessed.

"We’ve had a successful run at TVHS, but none of it happens without an amazing group of players and a dedicated coaching staff. My heart is fully invested in them, and their belief in each other, and in me which makes moments like this very special. While eight titles in twelve years is something to be proud of, I also see each season as an opportunity to grow as a leader, and I’m excited to continue challenging myself moving forward."

Thursday's game will be played at Temecula Valley High School stadium, located at 31555 Rancho Vista Road, in Temecula, at 6 p.m.. This is the first time these two teams have matched up, and the TVHS Bears are ready, says Head Coach Jennifer Quinn. They are focused, with five more games to go.
