Van Avery Prep Students Donate More Than $2,300 to Local Nonprofits
Students held a food drive and several other donation drives to provide support to local nonprofits
Students at Van Avery Prep in Temecula recently held a food drive to benefit the Rotary Club of Temecula. Students and their families worked together to collect nonperishable food items, including canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta sauce and more. The food was distributed to families in need during the holiday season.
In addition to the food drive, students raised more than $2,300 to benefit cancer research, as well as families whose children are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Students also held their annual “Penny Wars” event where they collected donations for an organization supporting California foster children. Through these charitable events, students learned the importance of giving back to their community.
