Voice of America Exposes Pechanga's Dirty Laundry
One of the highest ranked news sites in the world spotlights Temecula Casino Tribe and Mark Macarro
Imagine how exciting it is to be called for an interview with the Voice of America. I've done a few of these, including the New York Times. This time, the VOAnews quoted me and even put up a picture.
Pechanga Band of Casino Indians Chairman Mark Macarro is mentioned too. The context is the now decade only disenrollment, of both the Hunter family and their ancestors, as well as the Manuela Miranda descendants. They are pictured in the top photograph, along with those of the Redding Rancheria in N. California.
Even Macarro isn't as disgraceful as Redding Council, which forced the Foreman family to dig up their ancestor for a DNA test.

Hunter family still reside on their ORIGINAL PECHANGA allotment on the Temecula Indian Reservation. Chairman Macarro can't say the same. 70 years of continuous living on the rez. 55 years before the casino, when you could still hunt dove from the driveway of our red cabin... and about 20 years before Macarro was born.
