Wine Trolley Collides With Tesla In Crash That Injured 2 Near Temecula: Police

TEMECULA, CA — A Temecula Wine Trolley was involved in a crash Saturday with a Tesla and a Rivian, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. at Rancho California Road and Calle Contento, the California Highway Patrol posted on its Temecula social media accounts.

The driver of the trolley and a passenger in the Tesla were transported by ambulance to be evaluated for pain, according to Officer Brian Seel.

The trolley had 15 people on board, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol noted in the social media post that, “even cutting-edge EVs and charming wine trolleys have to follow the same rules of the road.”
