Woman Shot, Killed Near Temecula; Suspect Arrested

ANZA, CA — A woman who was found shot dead in Anza over the weekend has been identified, and a suspect has been arrested.
The body of Anza resident Cherie Mae Lanzisera, 58, was discovered around 3:08 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 56000 block of Mitchell Road after deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a call about a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff's department.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation and arrested Trent Allen Lightfoot, 50, of Anza on suspicion of murder, according to the sheriff's department.
