Closed For Christmas In Trabuco Canyon

Get ready, get set to stay home for the holidays because these offices and services will not be available on Monday.

TRABUCO CANYON, CA β€” Government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed Monday in observance of Christmas.

There will be no Monday trash collection by crews in Orange County or Los Angeles, according to the Waste Management of Orange County and the Bureau of Sanitation. Residents whose trash is normally collected on Monday will have it picked up Tuesday.

Schools will be off, generally speaking, Christmas week and daycare facilities may have changes in schedule.

Restaurant closures will vary across the county, as will hours of business. If you want to go out to eat on Christmas day, it's best to check online or call ahead. Hotel restaurants would recommend reservations.

Metro buses, trains and subways will be on a Sunday schedule across the southland. Specific schedules for bus lines can be found at www.metro.net.

Metrolink will operate a Sunday schedule on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County lines. There will be no service on the Ventura County and Riverside lines, and no serve to the four stations on the Perris Valley Line extension. The following Foothill Transit lines will operate on a weekend schedule: 178, 185, 187, 190, 194, 195, 197, 269, 270, 272, 274, 280, 281, 282, 284, 285, 286, 289, 291, 480, 482, 486, 488, 492 and the Silver Streak. No other Foothill Transit lines will be in operation.
