Earthquake Shakes South OC Friday Morning

TRABUCO CANYON, CA — The US Geological Survey reported a small 2.0 magnitude temblor occurred .8 km below the surface, with an epicenter less than six kilometers from Trabuco Canyon at just before 9 a.m. Friday morning.

This was almost immediately followed by a 1.4 magnitude quake with an epicenter of Marina Del Rey.

According to the USGS, a 2.0 magnitude quake is felt only by a few persons at rest, especially on upper floors of buildings.
