Gas Prices In Trabuco Canyon For Christmas Weekend
Getting ready to fill up to drive over the mountains and through the desert? Gas prices continue to drop across SoCal.
TRABUCO CANYON, CA β Gas prices across Orange County dropped again in what is now the second month of decreasing costs. That's great news for drivers heading over the mountains and through the desert to grandma's house or to spend the holiday weekend with family and friends.
The Orange County average price dropped Wednesday for the 36th consecutive day and 41st time in 42 days, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.038, its lowest amount since Oct. 28.
The Orange County average price has dropped 23.8 cents over the past 42 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. It is 5.6 cents less than one week ago and 17.9 cents lower than one month ago, but 32.2 cents more than one year ago.

The decreases follow a 15-day streak of increases totaling 25.6 cents that boosted the Orange County average price to its highest amount since Sept. 14, 2015. The increases included a statewide 12-cent a gallon gasoline tax increase that went into effect Nov. 1.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the 26th consecutive day and 36th time in the last 37 days, decreasing 1 cent to $3.095, its lowest amount since Nov. 1.

The average price has dropped 20.8 cents over the past 37 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago and 16.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 37.7 cents more than one year ago.
The average price dropped for 10 consecutive days, was unchanged on Nov. 24, then resumed dropping Nov. 25.
