TRABUCO CANYON, CA — Orange County Fire Authority engines responded to an active fire in the Holy Jim Canyon area of Trabuco Canyon, officials said.

Approximately three-quarters of an acre burned, and no structures were threatened, OCFA Capt. Tony Bommarito said. Fixed wing aircraft dropped flame retardant on the blaze, halting progress on a windy evening.

Firefighters remained on scene, mopping up hot spots. As of this report, there was no word as to what started the brush fire.
