Labor Day is a Federal Holiday, and city and federal businesses are closed on Monday. Public Transportation will run on Sunday schedules, and you should be able to visit your local grocery store to get burgers and dogs for the grill.
Trash Pick Up On Monday? Waste Management is running on Holiday Schedule for the first Monday of September. When a holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

Do You Plan On Shopping? Most stores are open, as are malls and shopping districts might have varied holiday hours.
