With 110 players across three teams, key playmakers returning from injury, and a defense expected to lead, the Wolverines open Friday against Hawaii's Konawaena aiming to regain their "eye of the tiger."
   

• Suspect connected to stolen car arrested near Truckee (kolotv.com) — Truckee police arrested a Sacramento man accused of driving a stolen vehicle into town, crashing near I-80, and fleeing into the woods before being found along Donner Creek. Officers had been warned he might be armed and dangerous, and he's now held in Nevada County without bail on a parole violation while additional vehicle-theft charges are pending.
