• Wanted suspect arrested after fleeing police in Truckee, triggering school lockdown (2news.com) — A wanted man was arrested Wednesday morning after fleeing Truckee police near Highway 89 South and Donner Pass Road, prompting precautionary lockdowns at the TTUSD main office and SELS Charter School. Authorities say there was never an active threat to students, and the Truckee suspect is now jailed in Nevada City on multiple serious outstanding warrants.
   

• Authorities ID Burning Man festival attendee who died in ambulance (reviewjournal.com) — A 51-year-old Truckee resident, Armando Ramirez, has been identified as the Burning Man attendee who died Friday while being transported by ambulance to a Reno hospital. Washoe County officials say foul play is not suspected, and his exact cause of death is still under investigation. Ramirez is one of three people reported dead at this year's festival.
