1 Dead, 2 Injured In Union City Stabbing; Suspect Arrested

The stabbings happened at the Tropics Mobile Home Park, a 55+ community.

UNION CITY, CA — One person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a violent attack in Union City Thursday morning. The suspect initially got away but was arrested hours later in Mountain View.

The suspect is identified as Carlos Daniel Hernandez, 21, of Mountain View.

The names of the three stabbing victims have not been released.

Police received a report of a stabbing at around 8 a.m. at Tropics Mobile Home Park, a 55+ community at 33000 Almaden Boulevard. When officers arrived they found that three victims had been stabbed.

One was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two were transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

In addition to the stabbings, one victim may have been hit by the getaway car.

The suspect had already fled the scene when officers arrived.

Mountain View Police later reported that they were helping Union City Police in the search for the suspect. Following the arrest, UPD thanked MVPD for assistance in the case.
