1 Rescued This Morning From Fremont House Fire

The blaze is on Hughes Place.

FREMONT, CA - Fremont Fire Department crews this morning rescued an individual from a house fire on the 5500 block of Hughes Place.

An ambulance was at the scene and the resident was being treated for smoke inhalation, the department announced shortly before 7 a.m. on Twitter.

The fire was first called in at 6:09 a.m., and crews extinguished it about an hour later, the department said. The cause is under investigation.
