2 Arrests In Union City Homicide

Detectives traced the suspects to Chico.

UNION CITY, CA — Union City Police have arrested two Chico residents in connection with the April 9 homicide of Karim Zepeda Martinez, 43, of Union City. He died in a hail of bullets at around 2 a.m.

Antonio Rodriguez, 24 and Miranda King, 31 were arrested on April 22. On Tuesday, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Rodriguez with the following crimes:

  • 187(a) PC - Murder 211 PC - Robbery
  • 11378 HS – Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance
  • 29800(a)(1) PC – Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • 11370.1(a) HS – Possession of a Controlled Substance with a Firearm
