Union City Homicide Case: 2 Men Arrested

UNION CITY, CA — Police in Union City have arrested two men on suspicion of killing a man whose body was found by firefighters putting out a vegetation blaze on March 23, UCPD said.

David Madrid, 67, from Union City, was found deceased after Alameda County Fire crews discovered him among a burned encampment near Isherwood Way and Quarry Lakes Drive.

Union City Police have determined that Madrid's death was a homicide and arrested two suspects on March 31, Andrew Dela Cruz, 24, and Jeramie Cosper, 29, after issuing warrants.
