3.3 Earthquake Strikes In Union City Wednesday Evening
The earthquake was the second in the East Bay on Wednesday.
UNION CITY, CA — Two earthquakes rattled the East Bay Wednesday, just one day after a 6.4 earthquake killed two people and injured 11 in northern California.
The first came at 8:34 a.m. in San Leandro. The preliminary magnitude reading of 3.1 was later downgraded to 2.9.
At 6:22 p.m., a second earthquake hit in Union City. The preliminary magnitude for that quake is 3.3.

No injuries or damage were reported in either earthquake.
Both happened on the Hayward fault.
