4 Arrests For DUI In Union City
One of the arrests came after a crash that left 2 motorcyclists unconscious. The suspects are from Hayward and Union City.

UNION CITY, CA — Union City Police arrested four drivers for driving under the influence — two on Saturday night, and the other two early Monday morning. One arrest followed a crash that seriously injured two people.
The initial arrest was Saturday night, following a report of an injury accident at Alvarado-Niles and Decoto roads. When officers arrived they found two seriously injured motorcyclists, unconscious, lying in the road. After the motorcyclists were transported to the hospital for treatment, an investigation determined that a vehicle had turned in front of the riders causing the collision. The vehicle’s driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Ruben Martin, 56, of Hayward was booked in at Santa Rita Jail.
An update on the conditions of the injured motorcyclists is not available.
