Alvarado Middle School Student Named State 'Yes I Can' Award Winner

Alvarado Middle School student Evelyn Kuo was selected as one of California’s Yes I Can! award winners from the Council for Exceptional Children– in the Academics category. She was nominated by District Nurse Michelle Conception. Evelyn was notified and presented her award on Wednesday, October 8, at AMS.

She has also been nominated for the International Yes I Can! award as well. This award celebrates students with disabilities who have overcome challenges and have achieved success.
