Use Travel Influences to Infuse Global Perspective into the Interior Design of Your Space
Bring your travels into the interior design of your home or small business, and you'll always feel as if you were on vacation!
One of the things I love about hospitality interior design, is that when you go into that hotel or restaurant, you get a definite sense of location. If the interior design has been done successfully, it should either transport you to a particular location, culture, or mood, or it will, at the very least, reflect and fit within its surroundings.
Now, as much as we would all love to travel and go into exotic locations several times a year, it is not always possible to afford this. It then becomes a good idea to collect those global influences we love through our travels and integrate them into our spaces, be it our home or our business. This is where our creativity can be fully expressed to bring together those elements that most inspire us and provide us that sense of travel, adventure and fun.
These influences can be sprinkled throughout several rooms in our home or business, or can all be collected and integrated into one space. It is important to have a good discerning editing eye when doing this though, as you don't want your place to end up looking and feeling like a bazaar. But with some patience and know-how you can end up with a space that truly transports you to your ideal travel destination.
