Car Windows Smashed In Union City

UNION CITY, CA —Police in Union City on Friday arrested a man in connection with smashing the windows out of several parked vehicles.

Anthony La, 44, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and on an outstanding warrant, police said.

Officers with the Union City Police Department responded Friday at 2:15 a.m. to the 31000 block of Lamprey Drive and found several parked vehicles with smashed windows.

A witness identified a possible suspect responsible for the vandalism, and the suspect then ran from police and into a neighborhood.

Police set up a perimeter, eventually located the suspect, identified as La, and took him into custody, police said.
