CHP: Silver Alert Issued for 84-Year-Old Man Missing from Union City
Leland Prior is believed to be on foot.

Union City police are asking the public’s assistance in locating an 84-year-old man missing since Thursday morning. Leland Prior left his townhome in the area of Partridge Way and Skylark Drive sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday in an unknown direction, Union City police Detective Cpl. Bob Kensic said.
Prior is described as a white man who is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen without facial hair. He was last seen wearing a shirt, tie and hat, according to Kensic. He does not have a cellphone or a wallet with him, Kensic said.

His family said Prior “was quite self sufficient for his age,” according to Kensic. The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert for Prior around 3 a.m. today. Anyone with information on Prior’s whereabouts is asked to call Union City police Detective Krista Fraga 510-675-5266.
