The improvements to Casa Verde Park are made possible due to a $250,000 grant awarded to Union City.
Announcement, photos submitted by City of Union City:
After a competitive grant process, Union City is preparing to officially kick off construction for the Casa Verde Park Trail and Playgrounds Improvement Project. Last night, City Council awarded a contract to begin the first phase of the project, which will include an upgrade to three playgrounds at the park.
After completion of this phase, City staff anticipates moving into phase two, which will focus on repaving park pathways, resurfacing the park’s basketball court and installing new basketball hoops. The improvements to Casa Verde Park are made possible due to a $250,000 grant awarded to the City through the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund.
