East Bay Murder Suspect Nabbed At Union City BART Station: Police
BREAKING: Police say they tracked the gunman down early Tuesday.

BELMONT, CA — A man suspected of fatally shooting another man inside a Belmont apartment has been caught, police say. Jovhon Alexander Stewart, 27, is accused of gunning down DeJohn Jones, 24, early Saturday morning in the 500 block of Ralson Avenue.
Around 12:25 a.m., police from Belmont, Union City and BART found Stewart at the Union City BART station, according to Belmont Police Capt. Patrick Halleran.
"He was taken into custody without incident on a no-bail arrest warrant, in connection with the shooting death of 24 year old DeJohn Jones on Saturday," Haleran said, adding that the suspect was taken to the Redwood City jail.

On Saturday at 5:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired at the scene of the crime. There, officers found several people outside. Inside an apartment, they found a man with a gunshot wound, police said.
Belmont Fire Department paramedics treated the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The weapon used to kill Jones, which police believe was a semi-automatic handgun, was not found, according to Halleran.
