
Gateway into arm balances and inversions

Description
This workshop is the first of this series that is geared towards both beginners and immediate practitioners. We will explore the foundations of arm balancing, inversions, the technicalities of leaving the ground on our hands and the playful mindset needed to maintain the balance.
Goals
Beginners will learn how to approach these poses, intermediate practitioners will learn new entries and possibilities. Everyone can have a taste of "flying" but most importantly, receive the true benefits of arm balances and inversions.
Structure
Arrive ten minutes before the class. We’ll begin with a short meditation, warmups, inversions, and arm balances.
Mediation (10 mins) – See beyond working on poses physically but mentally as well. Why are we doing this? Learn to conquer the fear on the mat and off the mat! Visualize the success and use the skill daily outside the yoga studio!
Warm ups (20 mins) – Sun A, B and how to use our arms properly!
Inversions (30 mins) – Headstands, forearm stands, and handstands.
Arm balances (30 mins) – Now that your arms are warm, lets start off with Crow, Crow variations, Eight-angle poses.
Prerequisites
1. Open mind.2. Towels. One for sweat and one that will get dirty.
