NHUSD's March Parent Workshop on Cyber-Bullying

The topic for New Haven Unified School District is hosting a series of workshops for parents. March’s topic is cyber-bullying and will be discussed at the Wednesday, March 21, meeting.

Guest speaker Chris Rita from Teens for Life will lead a discussion about different forms of bullying and cyber-bullying; the short- and long-term impacts; recommended parent guidelines to help prevent cyber-bullying; and what parents can do if they discover their child is being bullied. The facilitator will be District Social Worker and series coordinator Sandy Vaughn.

The session will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Educational Services Center, 34200 Alvarado-Niles Rd., Union City. To reserve a seat, call Marianne Pitta (471-1100, ext. 60425). Childcare and translation services are available on request.
