Relay For Life is a national community-based, volunteer-run, fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Last year, RFL raised $30.2 million in California alone! Every year thousands of people form teams, pitch a tent or two, and vow to keep at least one team member walking during a 24 hour period. Why? Because cancer NEVER sleeps and for a 24-hour period neither will we.
Union City's 2011 event will be held Aug. 27 and 28 at James Logan High School.
