Rib Eating Competition to Benefit School Sports and Music Programs

There will be a grueling face off between the Union City Fire Department and Union City Police Department on the night of June 20.

Three men from each department will see who can finish their ribs the fastest at an event sponsored by Texas Roadhouse.

The New Haven Boosters Association is having a rib eating competition to help support the Race to Save Fundraiser that is taking place in the restaurant. It is important for the local community to come together and support one another. This is a public event so ALL are welcome.

It will take place at 5 p.m. with a team of three men on each side. When the horn blows, one man will start to eat his half slab of ribs. In order for the next person to go, the first person has to completely finish their portion. At the end of the competition, the winning teams bones will be inspected by our MP Tony Robinson just to make sure that all the meat is off the bones.

Texas Roadhouse is really excited about this and we hope our guests will become excited too! So please, please come support us whether it is coming to the event or purchasing a $10 dollar appetizer card, which is good for either three appetizers or three desserts!
