Tricks will be pulled and skills will be tested during this city-sponsored skateboard competition. Registration opens at 10 a.m., with a $10 entry fee. Competition begins at 11 a.m. with the 11 years and younger category, followed by 12- to 15-year-olds at noon, and then ages 16 and up at 1 p.m. During the semi-final and final rounds of this skill contest, contestants will complete two heats of two-minute runs using any apparatus in the park. The top three competitors will receive prizes. The afternoon will be made complete with prize giveaways and a DJ providing a live soundtrack for the fast-paced action.
