Learn the nursing assistant’s role, consumers and facilities needing nursing assistants, and the legal rights, responsibilities, and ethics in health care. Gain an introductory understanding of medical terminology, the organization of the body, diseases and disease treatments, human needs from birth through old age, and pain management and the healing process. You will also learn how to make observations of patient conditions and practice using the language needed to communicate your findings to other medical staff.
