No injuries were reported in the fire.

Firefighters quickly put out a one-alarm fire at a facility storing oxygen and other gases in Union City Tuesday evening, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to a report of a commercial fire at 700 Decoto Road around 7:15 p.m., Battalion Chief Stephanie Radecke said. The facility is about a half-mile north of the Union City BART station.

Arriving crews found the blaze in the front office, Radecke said.

The fire was under control at about 7:45 p.m., fire officials said. There was extensive smoke damage throughout the building as a result of the fire, Radecke said.

Employees had already left the business for the day when the fire broke out, she said. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The business listed at the address is Air Liquide, an international company based in Paris founded in 1902. The company is a “World leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health,” according to its website.
