UNION CITY, CA — A vegetation fire in Union City was held to about an acre Tuesday afternoon, thanks to the quick action of Alameda County firefighters. There were no injuries, and no structures were damaged.

The blaze was first reported around 4:16 on Zwissig Way.

Fire crews found brush on fire between two vacant properties.
