Guns Seized At Union Landing
A patrol officer spotted a suspicious car. Three people hopped out of the car and ran in different directions.

UNION CITY, CA — Three loaded semi-automatic handguns were seized from a vehicle at Union Landing last weekend after three people hopped out of the vehicle and ran from a police officer in different directions. One suspect was caught but the other two got away, despite air support from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Union City Officer Erick Benard was patrolling the shopping center when he noticed a suspicious vehicle occupied by three males. The driver spotted the police officer, parked and all three got out and ran.
One of the recovered handguns was reported stolen.
The suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of gun charges and fleeing from the scene.
Investigators are following up leads to identify and locate the remaining suspects.
