Home Invasion: 3 Masked, Armed Intruders Arrested

Union City Police used a drone and police dog in their pursuit of the suspects.

UNION CITY, CA — Three teens were arrested in Union City early Friday, accused of an armed home invasion that was a "very scary incident for the family." A vehicle pursuit and crash, followed by a drone search and the use of a police dog all played a role in the arrests. No injuries were reported.

Officers were dispatched following a 911 call shortly after midnight. Police report, "A family was at home, sleeping when three masked males carrying firearms came into their home. The father of the family was on the couch when he realized the intruders were inside. The father quickly ran upstairs and got all his family members sheltered into the master bedroom."

However, police say the suspects kicked open the bedroom door. "While inside of the bedroom the suspects demanded money from the family as they pointed firearms at them. The suspects fled the home shortly after stealing property."
