Lady Colts' New Basketball Coach One of Their Own
A new era is ushered in for Logan's girls basketball team with new coach and Logan alum Cheri Craddock.

After advancing to the quarterfinals of last year’s North Coast Section championships, expectations run high for the Lady Colt’s basketball team.
Coach Frank Borghi led the team to a 23-6 record but, unfortunately, this year he vacated his post as head coach for personal reasons.
Logan is filling the void with one of their former stars, coach Cheri Craddock.

A class of 2003 grad, Craddock was an all-league selection for three years. She led the Lady Colts to back-to-back league titles and was team captain for two years. Her cousin, Nate Robinson, currently plays guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder. At the University of Washington, Craddock ranks tenth on UW's all-time career list for three pointers made (95) and three pointers attempted (265).
"It’s great being back home," Craddock said of her return to Logan. "Hopefully I can teach the girls some life lessons and we can all have some success."

"I’m just really excited about being back at Logan. The facilities are great," she added.
Athletic Director Tom Rosenthal said he is equally excited to have Craddock on board.
“The past four years, she has done an outstanding job with the American girls' basketball program,” Rosenthal said. “With her vast experience with playing and coaching basketball at the college and high school levels, it's our good fortune to have Cheri returning to Logan to take over the girls' program.”
Borghi’s service did not go unnoticed. He will be missed not only by his fellow staff, but by his players.
“[Borghi] was a fantastic coach. I will miss his style of coaching and how organized he was,” said Logan senior Kayla Salom. “He was always prepared for anything and everything. He would push us beyond our limits not only on the court, but in the classroom.”
As the beginning of the school year nears, hopes run high for the Lady Colts, the backbone of Logan sports last year. With the girls' soccer team going undefeated in their regular season, and the girls' hoopers advancing to the quarterfinals of NCS, the 2011-2012 school year looks promising.
Craddock intends to fill Borghi's shoes and lead the team to another successful year.
"We plan on playing hard, having fun, winning and having a great experience," she said.
