Logan Names Zachary McNally New Head Varsity Football Coach

Coach Zuber stepped down after 10 years at the helm.

The James Logan Athletic Department is proud to introduce its newly appointed Head Varsity Football Coach, Zachary McNally. Coach McNally will be replacing George Zuber who recently stepped down after ten years at Logan’s head football coach.

Coach McNally has been at Logan since 2013, working with the football program as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator, Linebacker Coach, Offensive Line Coach, and as the Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Coach McNally started his football career playing for De La Salle High School from 2001-2004. During that time his team was both the National and State Champions in 2002 and 2003. Coach McNally was the team captain and named Defensive Player of the Year in 2004.

Coach McNally continued his football career as a preferred walk-on player for Boise State in 2005, helping the team win the WAC Championship. In 2006 he played for Diablo Valley College as the team captain, leading the team to its first All Golden Gate Conference Championship. From 2007-2009 Coach McNally played at Northern Arizona University (NAU) on a full athletic scholarship as a starter all three years and as team captain in 2009.
His coaching experience began in 2010 when Coach McNally was the student assistant Linebacker Coach at NAU. The next year as a graduate assistant he was the Assistant Defensive Line coach at NAU. In 2013 Coach McNally began his career at James Logan High School.

In addition to his football responsibilities, Coach McNally is a physical education teacher at James Logan High School.
