Make Way For 10 Ducklings (and Momma)

UNION CITY, CA — Firefighters came to the rescue of a distraught Momma duck, whose 10 ducklings fell into a storm drain.
Alameda County firefighters were called to the 4700 block of Cabello Street in Union City Saturday evening. After removing the grate, a firefighter climbed down into the drain to snatch-up the ducklings one-by-one, and then hand them off to be safely corralled in a cardboard box.
Once rescued, the ducklings were taken to a nearby creek to be released. They were reunited with their Momma who oversaw the entire operation.
