Man Killed in DUI Crash Identified as 19-Year-Old Hayward Resident

A man killed in an alleged DUI crash in Hayward early Saturday has been identified as 19-year-old Hayward resident Dave Go, according to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau.
The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. at Hesperian and Eden Shores boulevards, when a 28-year-old Hayward man rear-ended a vehicle Go was in, according to police. The suspect driver, later identified as Hayward resident Paul Butler, 28, allegedly fled the scene but was caught a few blocks away, according to police.
Go was taken to Eden Medical Center, but died shortly after arrival. A 20-year-old woman riding in the same vehicle with Go also suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said. Butler was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to police.

Hayward police Sgt. Jason Corsolini said Butler is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Alameda County Superior Court at the Hayward courthouse.
