Middle School Student Arrested for Brandishing Weapon at School: Police

The 14-year-old student was released to his parents with a notice to appear in court.

UNION CITY, CA: A 14-year-old student was arrested last week in Union City for brandishing a knife at school. Officers responded Feb. 26 to Cesar Chavez Middle School on a report a student had brandished a knife at school and was chasing other students around with it.

Officers contacted the student and recovered the knife. The student, who has not been identified due to his age, was arrested and later released into the custody of his parents with a notice to appear in court.
