Missing 12-Year-Old Union City Child Is Safe

UNION CITY, CA — A girl who went missing Wednesday morning has been located by police after returning to her home in Union City early this morning, according to police.

Around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, 12-year-old Tni Janay Grice was taken to Alvarado Middle School by her father.

She did not return home from school and police said they did not know if she attended any of her classes.

Officers following up with her family just before 8 a.m. today confirmed that she'd come home unharmed.

They do not believe foul play was involved.

Investigators thanked the community for their assistance in looking for the girl.
