July 29, 2021

Dear New Haven Families State Assembly Bill (AB) 104 provides options for students and parents/guardians to address learning recovery needs. One such option is that students who were enrolled in high school during the 2020-21 school year may apply to have one or more letter grades replaced with a Pass/No Pass Grade. Parents (or students eighteen years or older) may request the grade change(s) by completing the Grade Change Request form << ENGLISH >>, << SPANISH >> and submitting it in person at your student’s school.

Students at Logan High School may also access their school website to submit their forms electronically. Some postsecondary educational institutions, including those in other states, may not accept a Pass or No Pass grade instead of a letter grade for admission purposes. For the 2020–21 through 2023–24 school year, the following postsecondary institutions will accept, for admission purposes, a transcript with a Pass or No Pass grade instead of a letter grade for an applicant pursuant to Education Code Section 49066.5(b).
