UNION CITY, CA — Another of bargaining, another day when no contract deal was reached.
The New Haven Unified School District released this statement around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, following negotiations with the teachers union:
"The members of the New Haven teacher’s bargaining team and the District’s bargaining team met for over 11 hours to continue discussions regarding teacher salaries. While progress continues to be made, a tentative agreement has yet to be reached.

"Both parties will continue with bargaining on Wednesday...The district's bargaining team continues to be committed to participating in discussions as long as they remain productive and move both parties to a settlement."
The school calendar calls for June 13 to be the last day of school in the 2018-2019 school year.
