Hayward, Oakland Men Arrested for San Jose Murder

Two men have been arrested in the past four days on suspicion of a shooting that killed a 34-year-old real estate agent six months ago in San Jose, police said today.

Nathan Nai Fong Saechao, 19, of Oakland, and Manh Do Van Tran, 29, of Hayward, have been arrested in connection with the death of San Francisco resident Michael Arcega on Oct. 24, police said.

Officers had responded to a report of firearms discharged at Lu Restaurant at 1595 Monterey Highway shortly before 2 a.m. that day, according to police.

When officers reached the scene they found the victim, later identified as Arcega, with at least one gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A follow-up investigation led detectives to identify the suspects as Saechao, who was arrested on Thursday in Oakland, and Tran, who was taken into custody Sunday in San Jose, police said.

The suspects have been booked into Santa Clara County Jail, according to police.

Arcega came to the Bay Area from Honolulu, Hawaii, attended Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont and was a real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty in San Carlos, according to his Facebook profile.
